Our vision for NVC Youth is to create a space where teens and young adults can seek God's good purpose for their lives through the interruption of cultural norms, through challenging convictions and repentance (changing the way we think) and through surrendering the gifts God has given us to Him.

Art Ministry
We've been building a creative space where students feel safe and confident in developing artistic talent. The EpiCenter in Downtown Fayetteville will be the home of our teen ministry - free studio art workshops will be a part of this ministry.
Artists and Spiritual Commitment
According to the national survey of 3,689 American college students conducted by UCLA’s Higher Education Research Institute, sixty-two percent of fine arts majors rated high on “spiritual commitment”.Part of an ongoing survey of students at 46 U.S. campuses, 53 percent of students said time in the classroom had no impact on their spiritual development.
“As it is, Christian artists don’t get support from within a church until they’ve already gained an audience outside of it. So they are encouraged to leave really. And they are encouraged not to submit to the church’s values.”

This tells us that young artists are developing in academic spaces that are largely spiritually sterile. As the church, we should be ready to equip young artists and available for spiritual guidance.
