It's been a busy month for us as we continue to grow into this new season - so much so that we simply haven't had the time for our usual weekly blogs post!
God has been incredibly faithful and it's amazing to see how much activity He's bringing into our ministry only a month after our first studio art workshop! After our home church's 20th anniversary we worked on having a brand new video wall installed at the EpiCenter, which you can see being used above. The week after we focused on some renovation work in the building and put some preparations in place for our annual
'Trunk or Treat', where we opened the building up to the community to provide a safe alternative to the usual seasonal festivities. This week we continue to finalize some of the building renovations and after having our biggest Tuesday Night Workshop yet (praise God for a turnout of 11 students!) we'll also be refining the structure of our workshops in response to some of the feedback of the parents and students.
I've been focusing a lot on what it means to have an intimate relationship with God. John 15:5 has been a consistent prayer for me as I continue to ask God to help us develop this ministry - Jesus was the greatest example of what God can do through someone who keeps right relationship with Him: "he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit...". Just like the difference between seeing a jet in the sky and seeing one parked 20 feet away, the distance you keep between you and God will ultimately effect how big He appears and acts in your day to day life. If you're keeping God at a distance, He and His work in your life will always appear small and ordinary, but once you start to draw close to Him you'll see how tremendous and marvelous He really is; Jesus says that this is when you'll be in the proper proximity for God to work through your life.
Our mission trip is just a little bit over a week away and we continue to ask for your prayers over our team and Pastor Frank's ministry in Kenya. After our class on November 5th, we will have a two week recess to return just in time before Thanksgiving week.
We also ask for you to pray for an opportunity we've been offered to interview for the local newspaper - this can be an exciting chance for us to let the community know what we're doing!
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. We've implemented a couple of new website features (online class registration and schedule) and will continue to explore avenues of growth as we approach the end of the year.
Paint by Faith is supported entirely by donations, and if you would like to support our efforts to provide free art education to the community please consider donating on our Invest page.
Till next time!
