Vellaturu: India

In the small village of Vellaturu, India, SAC ministries hosts a hostel for orphans and children who are displaced from their families due to economic reasons and unstable parenting. These children are very actively discipled and live together as a family. They are provided for by donations and sponsors from abroad, and are challenged with trying to occupy every vacancy available in the hostel while remaining economically feasible.

Our goal is to host biannual art camps for the children as a part of their discipleship program, and help open opportunities for them to produce artwork as part of their sponsorships. We would also love to open scholarship opportunities for them and exhibit their work in the US.

We're prepared to pay for the art materials out of our own pockets; our most immediate need would be costs related to travel and boarding. We'd also like to continue raising support for SAC ministries, as they continue to provide boarding and education to the children living at the hostel.
